Log Cabin with Hot Tub
Burnside Log Cabin
Log Cabin with Wi-Fi and (optional) Hot Tub
Our beautiful log cabin resides in a tranquil location, occupying wooded land on the western shore of Loch Awe, one of Scotland’s largest and most picturesque freshwater lochs. The cabin is less than 5 years old and designed with Scandinavian style in mind.
Our log cabin
Burnside is a traditional log cabin, but with many modern features, giving it a wonderful character all of its own. A short walk from the shore of the majestic Loch Awe, and perched above a babbling burn, it provides the perfect situation for your holiday requirements: whether that be as a base to travel around Argyll and the west coast, to explore the natural habitat on your doorstep, or simply to enjoy a relaxing break in such peaceful surroundings. To compliment the charm of the cabin, there is also a Scandinavian style wood-fired hot tub, a lovely place to relax whilst taking in the natural beauty all around you.
We welcome groups of friends, couples, and families with children of all ages, and are dog-friendly.
Our Hideaway
We are relative newcomers to the delights of Loch Aweside Forest Park, having stayed here for the first time as recently as 2018. As seems to happen with so many that visit, we were immediately taken in with its charms. If you have been here before, you will already be familiar with the spectacular surroundings and tranquility. If you are first time visitors, a series of wonderful sights await you, from the majestic loch itself, to the beautiful countryside and nature.
About the Area
Located in Dalavich, Loch Aweside Forest Park is 30 minutes south of Taynuilt. It is a pleasant 2 hours 20 minutes drive from Glasgow airport, and 2 hours 50 minutes from Edinburgh airport.
Dalavich village is remote, but has great facilities less than a 10 minute walk from the cabin: the Wild Rowan Cafe & Shop, the Loch View Bar and Grill restaurant (opening days and times vary throughout the year), a children's playground and a launderette.
